Hi, I’m Bruna

My name is Bruna De Conto Bolis do Carmo, but to ease things out Bruna Bolis works just fine. I am 36 years old, mother to a 3-year-old boy, born and raised in Brazil but my soul belongs to London. I found this out when I visited the city in 2009 for only 4 days and I made a pledge or I was manifesting that in the future I would go back and live there.

Well, that same year I graduated from Dentistry school and work in that field for the following 3 years, however, found out that it wasn’t really my call. The only thing that would come to mind was fashion. Although, I lived in a small city and fashion wasn’t a promising thing there at the time, so in 2012 I decided to go back to London permanently.

That year I studied styling at Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London) and it was one of the best things I did in my life, even though it was a short period of time (6 weeks) I was completely immersed in all things fashion and I finally had my call or found my purpose as they say nowadays. But, that same year I met who soon would become my husband, so because of love (aawww ❤️) I went back to Brazil and we stayed there for almost 5 years.

By that time I post Graduated in Styling and Fashion Business (at Uninovafapi), and had my first Image Analysis and Consultancy course (with Marcela Dellarole). But I didn’t take things forward because I wanted something else. Then in 2017 I discovered what was the “something else” I/we wanted, we packed our bags and moved, this time yes, permanently to London.

As soon as we made that decision I said that I would work with Visual Merchandising, which is one of my favourite fields of fashion. Soon, really soon, that became a reality and I worked as a VM for over 5 years in the biggest high-street fashion retailer in the world (I think you’ve figured it out already) in the meantime, I had my son and when I got back from maternity leave they destroyed my mental health. When I decided that that was enough I planned to go back to Image Consultancy, now with a different approach, and a different purpose, so I had a refresh and took another course (this time with the girls from Assinatura de Estilo).

And this is where I am now, kicking start this business with all my strengths and pride. My aim here is to bring colour and style to a place that represents freedom, of wearing and of being, there are no set styles here, no labels on anyone’s body. The only thing I wish is that with the services I am offering people are happy with what they are wearing and the message they are communicating, getting dressed should be fun and stress-free, and I am here to help you on this journey.
